Squarespace has evolved into an excellent solution for small and medium-sized businesses, artists of many types, and smaller nonprofits. It is a powerful site builder with some very smart hooks, and a few great plugins. Simple and yet not simple. Unlike WordPress it is easy to configure and customize different types of internal pages and it boasts a pretty decent blog, events calendar, and basic e-commerce system. We use it as a default for more static sites.
Our work on Squarespace sites includes helping clients pick a proper template which we can use as a starting point, creating a smart navigation structure, designing the site, hooking up a mailing list and social elements, configuring commerce options and training our clients on how to edit their site. Squarespace sites can become really very customized. We also work on images, edit, and email templates to help our clients create great sites.
